Nightcliff beach (credit: Admin)
- Nightcliff Beach is a rocky cove with a sandy beach between the Jetty and the swimming pool
- Surfable waves form on 3.5m to 5m tides powered by monsoon wind swells in the Wet Season
- The cove is less exposed to currents and an easier paddle out than Dripstone Cliffs
- Roadside access makes Nightcliff a popular spot for spectators when it’s on
- Foiling potential is limited to wing or kite out deep, launching from Kite Corner
- Downwinding may be possible from Nightcliff Jetty to Casuarina Surf Club or Kite Corner
- There is limited rocky shore access between the Jetty and Kite Corner/Rapid Creek, 1km to the north
- Nightcliff boat ramp is located just south of the Jetty
