  • Prevailing winds typically blow ~ offshore (E to SE) during the Dry Season, May to August
  • ~ cross-shore (N to NE) at the end of the Dry Season, September to October

  • Tidal movement is significant, up to 8m
  • Massive volumes of water move in and out of Darwin Harbour – apply caution around the Sandbar and East Point when the tide is running
