class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Lake Alexander\/East Point <\/strong>end of Fannie Bay is a protected, shallow, sandy mud flat with easy access, shade, showers, toilet block, drink taps and barbeques<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Best on 4.0 m or higher tide, or be prepared to walk out to deeper water<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dry Season easterlies blow direct offshore and create wind shadow<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>South-easterlies blow cross-offshore, left to right in the above photo and provide a better angle for the 4.5km run to Cullen Bay<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A sandbar (visible on low tide) forms the western boundary of Fannie Bay, starting approximately 1.5km out from Darwin Ski Club and extending south to Cullen Bay<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Big tides are unforgiving around the Sandbar and the end of East Point, and will carry you out to sea if winds are too light to fly<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Big tides create crazy water states around the sandbar so apply caution out onshore<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the sea is too big to get out at Casuarina Beach or Kite Corner try Lake Alex beach<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The shore break can be challenging on bigger swells &#8211; access is easier nearer the mangroves<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>East Point filters out the cross chop and provides clean rollers<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:29px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" access, the water depth is greater in front of the Sailing Club<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On very low tides you can walk half way out to the sandbar from the Ski Club <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the right conditions
